Picking Up the Pace of Change, 2017: A State Scorecard on Long Term Services and Supports

AARP released its third iteration of the Long-term Services and Supports Scorecard. The full report can be found at http://www.longtermscorecard.org/2017-scorecard

This scorecard ranks states and DC in order from 1 to 51 on a wide range of issues pertaining to older adults and people with disabilities. The LTSS scorecard has five domains that states are ranked within, and each of those domains has multiple indicators that are used to derive the overall score. The domains include, affordability and access, choice of setting and provider, quality of life and quality of care, support for family caregivers, effective transitions.

National recognition for NHCarePath and ServiceLink Program

AARP has released No Wrong Door: Person- and Family-Centered Practices in Long-Term Services and Supports, and spotlights NHCarePath, the state of New Hampshire’s “No Wrong Door” system overseen by DHHS. “No Wrong Door” systems promote person- and family-centered practice to make it easy for older adults, people with disabilities and their families to access services. Featured in this report are services provided by NHCarePath and ServiceLink, programs that assist New Hampshire’s aging and disabled residents of all ages in connecting to services.
